In volume 55A the Ecuadorian members of Nymphaeaceae (s. lat.) are revised. Two genera occur in the country, Cabomba (2 spp.) and Nymphaea (7 spp.). Keys, descriptions and specimen citations are given for all taxa and five species are illustrated. In volume 55B the Ecuadorian members of Ceratophyllaceae are revised. One genus, Ceratophyllum, with two species occur in the country. A key descriptions and specimen citations are given.
