About this book

Chris Rose is now one of Britain's foremost wildlife artist. This is his first book, and focuses on his paintings of British birds. Many of the pictures are of common species seen in the countryside around his home in the Scottish Borders. Chris has a fascination with water and delights in its myriad effects and in the challenges it presents to the artist. He is widely recognised as one of the best painters of water, and inevitably this book contains many paintings where water in some form or other is the main theme.

Commentary on each painting is on a facing page, written in a chatty and informative style.

All in all this is a very fine bird art book.
