About this book

The Doomsday Fun Book is a collection of editorials and other short articles that have been published in The Ecologist since the magazine's launch in 1970. Illustrated by Richard Willson of The Times who has been cartoonist extraordinary to The Ecologist since it started as well as to the international environment movement as a whole for much of that time. A very much shorter version of The Doomsday Fun Book was produced some twenty years ago, but this one is incomparably more elaborate and is best seen as a new book. Thematically, The Doomsday Fun Book focuses on the need for a community-based, self-sufficient and decentralised society.

Contributors include Edward Goldsmith, Peter Bunyard, Chris Busby, Simon Fairlie and Zac Goldsmith.
