About this book

This book provides an overview of the utility of force microscopy in biology and medicine, offering the reader some perspective on the power and scope of this new scientific tool. Included is a discussion of the development of the photonic force microscope, and the use of force microscopy in combination with EM, electrophysiology, and biochemistry. These have already had a great impact in biology, and we are just beginning to realize the enormous benefits of force microscopy to both the biological and medical fields.
