In the Andean Alley of Ecuador, the natural forests have disappeared almost in their totality and those that remain are left threatened with extinction. This work is a contribution to the dendrological knowledge of the species of trees in the few existing surpluses of natural forest in the Andean region of the north of Ecuador, in the provinces of Carchi and Imbabura. This contribution presents dendrological descriptions and illustrations of 101 species of trees located in three areas of forest in the region.
