The book describes and illustrates no fewer than 750 southern African offshore gastropods. Subspecies and forms of these gastropods have also been included. All photos include a dorsal and ventral view of the shell.
Shell descriptions cover prominent features, sculpture, colour, size of specimen illustrated, locality with depth range, rarity and finally notes of interest where applicable. Range covered is between Namibia down to Cape Agulhas and north-east to central Mozambique.
