Steven A. Frowine is a professional horticulturist, a consultant to the green industry, an avid gardener, and an active garden writer and speaker. He has tended orchids at the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawaii and at Missouri Botanical Garden, where he managed one of the largest orchid collections in the United States - over 10,000 plants.A passionate grower of orchids for almost 40 years, Steven's basement is filled with stands of plants under grow lights.Steven has written for several publications including Fine Gardening, American Nurseryman, Nursery Business, and National Gardening, and has written weekly gardening columns for the Pittsburgh Post and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.In addition, Steven has appeared on national television talk shows, including Martha Stewart Living, Good Morning America, Today Show, Victory Garden, and CBS Morning News.A much sought-after speaker, Steven is noted for his thorough knowledge of his subjects, a keen sense of humor, and excellent photography.
