This was the first ever report produced by the Barn Owl Trust. The discussion is based on 140 BTO-ringed Barn Owls from 24 release sites operated by the Trust. Ring recoveries are compared with those obtained from 71 wild pulli ringed in the same county and time period. Two release methods are compared and the importance of gradual release is discussed.
