Many songs of New Zealand birds have given pleasure to generations of New Zealanders and their visitors. This CD is excellent to feel yourself back in the beautifull wilderness of this prestine country.
The frequency range of New Zealand birds is considerable, extending from the deep resonant booms of the Kakapo, to the high pitched nearly inaudible calls of the Rifleman at the upper end of human hearing. Some birds like the Tui are able to reproduce a wide range of sounds, from low pitched croacks and grugles to high pitched whistles and sqeacks, some of which are probably beyond the range of human hearing.
