About this book

Language: Swedish, with English abstracts and identification keys

The two groups Sipuncula (peanut worms) and Nemertea (ribbon worms) are not particularly closely related. What they do have in common is that they include almost exclusively marine species, and that they are relatively unknown to most people. Apart from that, they are, in fact, very different indeed. While peanut worms are sedate, relatively inconspicuous, most ribbon worms are voracious predators capable of swallowing prey of their own size. Their bodies are covered in toxic mucus, and many of them are very brightly coloured. Includes 78 species.
