About this book

Birds are one of the best things about having a garden, whether that's a few acres in the countryside or a tiny city roof-space. And the humble garden is one of the most valuable bird habitats available - so the more bird-friendly you can make yours, the greater the range of species that are likely to feed and nest there. Providing food, water, feeders and nesting sites can be very cheap and easy, and the results are often rewarding.

This practical and incredibly useful title offers a identification guide to over 80 species of garden birds across Britain and Northern Europe, combined with indispensable advice on providing foodstuffs and suitable habitats. Each species is fully illustrated - showing details such as sexual variance and flight - by the award-winning artists Brin Edwards and Mike Langman. All birds are described with full identification detail, with distribution details and suggestions of suitable foodstuffs, feeders and nestboxes etc.

Written with both beginners and the more experience birder in mind, this major new title really is the only bird guide you need.
