Biography

François Moutou is an epidemiologist and a veterinary PhD. He was chairman of the French Mammal Society (1994-2008). He has co-authored a number of books including the English edition of Mammals of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East (A & C Black, September 2009).

Alain Pons began his career as a graphic designer and helped with the launching of wildlife magazines such as l'Univers du Vivant and Terre Sauvage. Now, among the foremost photographers of wildlife and nature, Alain has been published in many international magazines, such as National Geographic, BBC Wildlife Magazine, and Figaro Magazine. He has co-founded a communications agency with a publishing department dedicated to wildlife, nature and travel books.
