About this book

The deep ocean exerts a powerful influence on the imagination of all of us, not least because of the scale, remoteness, and its sheer inaccessibility to the air-breathing life on land.

This book is the account of one of the latest expeditions of discovery to the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean and the great submarine mountain range of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Customer Reviews:

Great book on the mysterious life in the deep Atlantic
by Sturla in Norway
Outstanding book, suitable for all levels, from amateur interest to the marine biologist. It is exiting to see the pictures and read the story of deep sea exploration through the last century, and to realise how much is yet to be explored.
