Please note, this is the Front Panel for use with the Schwegler Built-in Multi System. The Main Cavity can be ordered here. Please then select the required front panel depending on the desired species.

Front Panel for Kestrel
This panel features a wide opening and built-in perch.

Installation height above ground: 6 to 8 m.
Siting: on industrial buildings, quiet places on the edge of woodlands, barns in open countryside, electricity masts, silos, etc.
The following sites are recommended in urban areas: large buildings, high walls, chimneys, industrial buildings, churches, etc.
Bedding: to encourage the birds to adopt the box a mixture of coarse sawdust, wood shavings and washed sand should be moistened and placed inside.
Material: Schwegler wood-concrete with galvanised fittings and treated wooden perch.
Dimensions: width 24 cm x depth 5.5 cm x height 31.5 cm.
Entrance hole: width 16 x height 21 cm.
Weight: ca. 2 kg.

Front Panel for Jackdaw
This panel features a single round hole

Jackdaws are an endangered species. They live in colonies, and therefore several nest boxes should be installed in the same area or on a building.
Siting: residential buildings, external walls, churches, silos, industrial buildings, etc. Ideally the nest boxes should be spaced approximately 1 to 2 m apart.
Height above ground: min. 6 - 8 m.
Material: Schwegler wood-concrete.
Dimensions: width 24 cm x depth 5.5 cm x height 31.5 cm.
Entrance hole: 8 cm.
Weight: ca. 3.5 kg.

Front Panel for Common Swift
This panel features two oblong holes near the base. An internal dividing panel is included. This is used to create two separate nesting chambers.

Siting: best 6 to 7 m above the ground. Please ensure unobstructed access for birds entering and leaving the box.
Positioning: high up on external walls of buildings of all kinds, including churches and industrial buildings. A clear distance (drop) below the box is recommended, preferably 5 m or more.
Cleaning: cleaning is easy and convenient with this box but is not essential.
Nesting chamber: width 19 cm x depth 28 cm each.
Material: Schwegler wood-concrete, wooden divider.
Entrance hole: width 6 cm x height 3 cm.
Weight: ca. 4 kg (incl. divider).
