A rapid biological assessment was conducted at three sites in the mountains of China's Sichuan Province in 2005, in order to determine and justify boundaries for the expansion of nature reserves and parks in the region. The data collected here, including the most up-to-date information on new and threatened species, demonstrates the rich biodiversity in the area and will help promote protection of lands.
