Please note: as of mid-April 2015 all types of Mercury Vapour (MV) bulb started to be phased out as part of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS). We are now supplying two mercury vapour bulbs with each MV trap but do not have any further bulbs available.
This is a robust, well built trap constructed of treated exterior ply with base. Easily assembled, it runs from the mains or 240V generator. Folds flat for easy storage or transportation.
The mercury vapour bulb is extremely bright and will provide the best catch rates of all moth traps. Clear plastic sliding top panels allow access to the catch without having to switch the bulb off. As mercury vapour bulbs have to cool before they can be switched on again, this is a very useful feature.
* Mercury Vapour bulb for increased catch rates
* Folds flat when not in use
* Access catch whilst still illuminated
* Powered by mains or 240V generator
Please note: NHBS recommends the use of a rainshield with MV lamps. MV bulbs must not be operated uncovered in rain or with the rainshield in conditions of wind-blown slanting rain as raindrops may cause the bulb to crack or explode. For attended trapping and public events we would recommend the use of actinic bulbs.
In the box:
* Plywood case 450 w x 450 d x 350 h mm
* Electrics unit with 2 m cable
* UK mains plug
* Bulb holder
* 125W mercury vapour bulb
Protect your MV bulb in inclement weather using this Rain Guard.
For attended trapping or use in public spaces, this Actinic version of the Skinner Trap is a great choice.
