A most useful work on the Gasteromycetes of Pakistan, excluding part of Sindh and Baluchistan. The Gasteromycetes (stomach fungi) form a small but interesting sub-class of the Basidiomycetes. The group is divided into six orders with 120 genera and 1000 species. Spore dispersal, germination, cytology, heterothallism, habitat, of Hymenogastrales, Gastrosporiales, Sclerodermatales, Lycoperdales, Phallales and Nidulariales have been described briefly in this book.
