Wildlife in Central India in 3 vols provides detailed information about the protected areas – Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks of the two states of the Indian Union, namely, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh comprising the central part of the country. Besides a general introduction to the bio-geographic division and the conservation status of these area, there are details about the location, climate, topography, vegetation, wildlife population and the socio-economic settings around each of the wildlife sanctuaries and national parks of the two States (in volumes 1 & 2). The third volume is an atlas which presents the graphic details of each of the protected areas through maps and also includes a number of colour photographs.
