About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Chinese

The Check List of Hong Kong Plants is an important reference to the diverse flora of Hong Kong and serves the needs of botanists, scientists, teachers, horticulturists, conservationists and amateurs. Since the publication of the first edition in 1962, the Check List has been revised and updated continuously in the past five decades.

The 2012 edition of Check List of Hong Kong Plants was compiled on the basis of the Flora of Hong Kong and other relevant taxonomical information, and recorded 3329 plant species and varieties. Besides the addition of new records and amendments, this edition also provides a reference list for tracing the scientific names recorded in the last edition but not in this one owing to new taxonomical findings or nomenclatural amendments.
