Language: English

Halocyprid Ostracods of the Arabian Sea Region is a scholarly, updated, yet easy-to-use identification guide for halocyprid ostracods of the Arabian Sea region. It is well written and excellently illustrated. For forty-one species in Halocyprid Ostracods of the Arabian Sea Region, there is a short description, original line drawings and photographs of females and males of each species. For fourteen other species in the book, carapace outlines are shown. There are keys to the subfamilies, tribes, genera and species, and also maps and diagrams demonstrating horizontal and vertical occurrence of the described species in the investigated area. Additional data on the occurrence of each halocyprid species found at all of the stations during the investigation period are given in appendices. Halocyprid Ostracods of the Arabian Sea Region book is a major scholarly contribution to knowledge of the holoplankton of the Arabian Sea. It will be very useful for researchers studying zooplankton in the Arabian Sea region.
