The Aha! of Science is an illustrated guided tour of the sciences, from the realm of atoms to the expanse of the universe. It is for all ages, requiring no previous scientific knowledge. It is designed to de-mystify science, and to appeal to a wide audience, from teenagers to adults, especially those who are confused or frightened by the subject. The text is easy to understand and to the point, introducing topics in a carefully chosen order so that at no point are the terms used impenetrable. The Aha! of Science largely avoids history, but concentrates on building a personal insight into the connections between all things.
Richard Monkhouse lives in West London. He graduated in Natural Sciences at Cambridge in 1972. He has been at the cutting edge between art and science, developing music synthesisers, video synthesisers, and 3D maps of the universe.
