Frank Hecker ist Diplom-Biologe mit den Schwerpunkten Zoologie, Botanik und Meeresbiologie. Er hat sich als Naturfotograf einen Namen gemacht. Seit vielen Jahren veröffentlicht er Reportagen zu naturkundlichen Themen in namhaften Zeitschriften und Zeitungen und ist Autor mehrerer Bücher.
