About this book

Light takes 8 minutes to reach Earth from the surface of the Sun. But its journey within the Sun takes hundreds of thousands of years. What is going on in there? What are light and heat? How does the Sun produce them?

In this astonishing adventure, you'll travel inside the Sun to discover what it's made of and how it works (including what it sounds like), how stars create the elements and the Northern Lights, how scientists came to understand the Sun, the latest research in solar physics and how a solar storm could threaten everything we know.
