Biography

Award-winning nature writer Mary Taylor Young spent her childhood summers in Estes Park, where she developed a love for wild things and the outdoors that led to a degree in zoology from Colorado State University. She has written nine books, including The Guide to Colorado Birds and The Guide to Colorado Reptiles and Amphibians and hundreds of magazine and journal articles, and she works extensively with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. She lives in Castle Rock, Colorado.
