Volume 61 covers the Sambucaceae, which is a monotypic family represented in Mexico by the genus Sambucus with 1 species and 2 subspecies. Of those, 1 subspecies, Sambucus canadensis nigra, is found in the Tehuacán–Cuicatlán Valley of central Mexico.
