About this book

Language: French, also available in English and Spanish

Please note that this series has been discontinued and this volume cancelled. OIE now runs the online World Animal Health Information Database (WAHID) Interface.

World Animal Health with its two volumes, presents a synthesis of animal health information from OIE Members as well as from non-OIE member countries. It provides a unique tool for all those involved in animal production, wildlife disease surveillance, international trade in animals and animal products and the epidemiology and control of animal diseases, including zoonoses. World Animal Health is composed of tables of data on OIE listed diseases and their occurrence in each country/territory. For disease/infections present, the tables include the number of outbreaks reported, with the number of susceptible animals, cases, or dead animals. It provides information on animal population in each country, its veterinary personnel, its laboratories infrastructure and the means dedicated to disease prevention and control by the Veterinary Services.

World Animal Health publication takes advantage of the recent improvements made to the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS) and gives a better overview of the animal health situation in domestic and in wild species.
