Gerard Cheshire, BSc MPhil, is a qualified ecological consultant with more than 15 years' experience as a freelance natural history writer for publishers in both the US and UK. He has a comprehensive knowledge of British wildlife and specialises in invertebrates, with a masters' degree in this area. He has also worked as a landscape designer and a housing developer, and is a trained artist.
