Sonderheft stellen 28 Autoren das Europaschutzgebiet „Obere Drau“ in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Darstellungen. Neben der Drau mit ihrer interessanten Flusslandschaft werden auch die weniger bekannten Kleinode des Drautales zwischen Oberdrauburg und Spittal beschrieben. Die 204 qualitativ hochwertigen Farbbilder zeigen die verborgenen Schönheiten der Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, vom Weltrekordhuchen, über die Flussufer-Riesenwolfspinne, bis hin zum Zwerg-Rohrkolben.
