The Catalogue des plantes Vasculaires de l’Arrondissement de Montmédy was published in 1906, but has been written before 1890! It covers a surface of almost 1600 km2. The Catalogue included about 1100 species; 1300 species are known at the present time. 234 taxa (with 33 hybrids) were not included in the Catalogue; almost 163 are now extinct or supposed to be, and we have a lack of information for 84 species. Some of these may also be extinct. Actually, 56 hybrids may be indexed. For 676 taxa, maps with a small grid (squares of 4 km side) are published. For the plants with less than 10 stations, the list of the squares is published in the text. One chapter is devoted to the landscape’s evolution since the XIXth Century.
