Biography

James Valentine is an environmental photographer, filmmaker, consultant, writer, poet, speaker, and scuba diver. He is president of Quest Foundation, which works toward nature preservation and environmental education. He has published many books of photography.

Bruce Means is an adjunct professor in biology at Florida State University and has taught courses on the ecology of Florida since 1980. He coauthored Priceless Florida: Natural Ecosystems and Native Species. He founded the Coastal Plains Institute and Land Conservancy and is presently president and executive director.
