In this sixth volume another 124 species are figured, leading to a overall number of 756 well-treated species in this series. A main focus in this book is on several species belonging to the families Cerithiopsidae, Raphitomidae, Yoldiidae. For the first time the authors have included Chitons. They composed numerous pictures for the final comparison of species not easily separable (Haedropleura, Sacella, Pitar, Dosinia, Cerithiopsis, Dikoleps, Mytilaster, Yoldiella).
