About this book

Language: French

"Wheat germinates because it obeys the nature of wheat, because it contains potentially all future wheat. The first handful of grains thrown from man's hand signs a collaboration, it does not ensure mastery. If wheat withdraws from the world, what will become of the bread"

This book, written in two voices, is a promenade, an invite to put a foot on the earth. It attempts a sensitive portrait of agriculture, adorned with reflections, those of a singular art binding nature, the four elements in their permanence. It says its miracles and its despair, its cycles, its language, its rupture, are profoundly united. In his first awakening, man found himself farmer; in his fertility, man remains connected to this profession from birth, to its breathing and its injuries. Man is a part of the earth.
