Biography

Lyn Mair is a naturalist and travel guide who specialises in the islands of the western Indian Ocean. Passionate about birdwatching, she regularly leads tours to exotic places and lectures on board ship plying the tropical waters off Africa. When not gadding around the planet she lives in Cape Town, South Africa.

Lynnath Beckley is a professor in Marine Science at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia and is co-author of the acclaimed Two Oceans, a guide to the marine life of southern Africa.
