The monograph series Vegetation of the Czech Republic systematically summarizes the diversity of Czech plant communities. It describes the floristic composition, ecology, dynamics and distribution of natural and human-influenced vegetation and provides adequate photographic, mapping and tabular documentation. The first part of the planned four contains a general introduction and covers alpine and subalpine vegetation, salt marshes, grassland, heathland, shallow soils and dry steppes.

Popisuje floristické složení, ekologii, dynamiku a rozšíření typů přirozené i člověkem ovlivněné vegetace a přináší odpovídající fotografickou, mapovou a tabulkovou dokumentaci. První díl z plánovaných čtyř obsahuje obecný úvod a představuje vegetaci alpínských a subalpínských trávníků, slanisk, luk a pastvin, vřesovišť, trávníků na písčinách, mělkých půdách a suchých stepních stanovištích.
