About this book

Language: Lithuanian with trilingual bird list in English, German, and Lithuanian

The book Lietuvos Paukščių Pažinimo Vadovas describes all birds observed on the territory of Lithuania (399 species) up to December 1st 2019. These are mainly birds that naturally live in the country and fly in, but also describe birds that have escaped from captivity and have been introduced by humans, as they can be found in their natural environment. The guide briefly describes the status and seasonality of each species (when it can be seen in the country), distribution and abundance (with a map of distribution in the country), describes in more detail the distinguishing features of appearance, vocal characteristics, and also provides information on the conservation status. Each species description has pictures of birds that can be used to determine their sex, age, identify birds in flight, etc.
