People spend most of their lives in the same environment, surrounded by familiar objects. But are they really that familiar? Most of the information we receive about the world is through sight, which has its limitations. How will our world look if we look at it beneath the surface, using something else than visible light, or if we look really closely? The surprising answer is given through almost two hundred photographs in this book. After reading it the reader will find that we live in an environment full of diverse and sophisticated structures, and discover a surreal landscape inhabited by terror-inducing creatures.
