About this book

Language: French

This is a French translation of the German Taschenatlas Knospen und Zweige.

Why wait until spring? Identification of woody plants without their leaves is an art that can be learned. And anyone interested in trees, whether professional or not, should also be able to recognize them in their winter look. In fact, most of our trees and shrubs can be identified without their leaves and someone who has learned to identify particular species in winter, will find it easier to recognize them in summer.

All indigenous French species and frequently cultivated ones are covered in this guide: over 270 species of trees and shrubs belonging to 140 genera are made easily recognizable, even in winter.

The species are described in detail and illustrated each by a specific color drawing. Also included are
- a detailed identification key with approximately 180 drawings that leads to genera
- 460 drawings and watercolors that facilitate the identification of diagnostic features
