About this book

Language: French

It is obvious that fairies were inspired by creatures that are found in nature, including the winged insects. The sumptuous images presented in this book prove this and texts add to the legends. Slowly, our nature and its biodiversity are diminishing, disappearing behind our buildings and our facilities, blind and malicious. It is time to make peace with the beings that surround us and who themselves are benevolent towards us.

This book wants to be a contribution to the ecological transition, rehabilitating ultimately highly modern beliefs, as these fairies are definitely there, all around us. Even today, these meetings leave us sometimes in a dream ... Whether one believes it or not. Whether these beings are or are not fairies. It matters little. This book makes us look differently at these little people, these ordinary creatures around us that disappear a little more each day ...

Is a dragonfly not a mysterious flying creature, an evanescent appearance, stealthy and vaporous in the mist of a pond? Just like the moth drawn to the light of a candle, its long wings draped in thick fabric? What about this ephemeral appearance with diaphanous wings in the chiaroscuro of the woods? And lacewings found on the ceiling of a house, watching us with their golden looks?

Photographed in poetic and magical ways, these "fairies" are presented here in an encyclopedic and serious way, with real information about their lives on insects and imaginary information about the lifes of fairies.
