About this book

Language: English

This book is the result of numerous field trips the author has undertaken to the Greek mainland to photograph flowers. The text describes the typical wild flowers seen in various areas the author has visited. The author notes though that this book is not meant to be a scientific classification, but more an album demonstrating the beauty and variety of the Greek flora. As such, it is organised primarily from an aesthetic viewpoint, rather than a botanical one, with pictures arranged by colour and location, rather than family, genus and species. The text with each photo gives the scientific name and date and place the photo were taken.
