Biography

Clare Leighton (1898-1989) was an artist, illustrator and writer. She wrote many hooks on the subject of rural life, especially in Buckinghamshire. She also created stained glass for churches in New England and for Worcester Cathedral. In the late 1940s Leighton became a naturalised citizen of the US.
