Biography

Jeffrey Rich is a wildlife and bird photography specialist with photos published in National Geographic publications, National Wildlife, Audubon, and many other publications. He has also written numerous articles about wildlife and birds. His first book, Baby Birds, was published by Rio Nuevo. His book Bald Eagles in the Wild was published by Amherst Media in 2018.

Jeff’s love of the outdoors stems from his northern California upbringing. His enjoyment of nature and his and educational background have been perfect complements to his creation of nature photographs. A self-taught nature photographer, Jeff considers himself a photonaturalist; he loves to create artful images of Mother Nature. Jeff has been teaching nature photo workshops and leading photo tours since 1991, and these are always great adventures with wonderful photo opportunities. He is the perfect nature photography instructor, with his extensive background as a naturalist, teacher, and professional photographer.
