About this book

Language: English

This is the first illustrated bryophyte flora of Greece. It will promote the knowledge and exploration of bryophytes in this area and all the Mediterranean. Take a lens and you will discover a new wonderful, till now unknown world and you will learn bryophytes with more energy. The photos try to show the high diversity and the often very beautiful habitus of Mediterranean mosses and liverworts. The majority of the listed bryophytes can be determined with the British bryophyte floras (see bibliography). For the further species not known from Great Britain, a short description of the main characters is given, as well as the distribution on the explored isles.
