Forty new species of Proctotrupoidea, reported here, were collected by Dr. M. S. Mani and coworkes from India in the course of investigations on the Proctotrupoidea. The following genera are being reported for the first time from India: Xenomerus walker, Fidiobia Ashmead, Platygastoides Dodd and Isostasius Föremster. The type specimens of the new forms, described here, are retained for the present in the School of Entomology, pending future disposal.
