About this book

Language: French

This book presents the harvestmen, the methods of collection, and an annotated list of actual and potential species in the northern half of France (55 species in total). It has been especially designed for all invertebrate researchers who want to observe and inventorize this group, even if they are a beginner. Identification keys, which constitute the core of the work, were written, arranged and illustrated so as to be as practical as possible. There are more than 210 illustrations included, the majority being in colour macro photographs. The collection thus leaves little room for faulty identification; a valuable asset for the beginner and a very useful comfort for the initiated! Complementing the keys, 11 determination sheets provide the elements to be able to more easily identify 10 species on the basis of up to three criteria, which makes the groups even more accessible to everyone. The scope of the keys goes far beyond the defined territory: Belgium, Luxembourg and the southern regions of France are also covered indirectly.
