A photographic field guide to the flowers of the Valley of Flowers National Park, Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, India, which is part of the Garwhal Himalayas. This park is spread over 87.50 km2, of which three quarters is under perpetual snow and glacier cover. The valley lies predominantly along the river Pushpavathi and is rich in colourful flowers. The area includes a diverse range of land patterns ranging from flat and gentle areas, medium and steep slopes, glacial moraines, snow-clad mountains, and rocks and boulders.
