About this book

Language: Portuguese

Biomas Brasileiros is based the concepts that define a biome, a controversial subject when comparing different authors, and focuses on climatic zones and biome zones, and describes and characterizes the 16 main biomes of Brazil. It deepens the Amazon with four biomes, from the Forest to the Campinara, and describes the hot-temperate forests, passing through complex systems, such as the Pantanal and the Campos Sulinos.

Richly illustrated with explanatory maps and colourful photographs of the fauna and vegetation characteristic of each biome, the book presents the most important information of each in a didactic way: climate, soils, flora and fauna, as well as dealing with its functioning and dynamics.

Summary in Portuguese:
