Criticism of modern evolutionary theory is all too often based on an incomplete understanding of the theory, argues the author of this new book. To rectify this, he presents an explanation of the modern synthesis theory - its history, its present difficulties, and its future - from the perspective of ecological genetics, the study of the mechanism of evolution.
