About this book

Language: French

This is the revised 7th edition of Les Rapaces d'Europe, which was overseen by the French ornithologist Michel Cuisin. With an elegant and evocative style, Paul Géroudet treats the natural history of all diurnal and nocturnal raptors in Europe in this book..

After an introduction on predation in general and raptors in particular, he devotes an almost monograph-like entry to each bird, covering names, description, identification, gait, voice, food, ecology, reproduction, migration, distribution, and bibliography. Interspersed are plates with illustrations, offering a relief to the text and contributing to the scientific value of the work.
