Reference Book
by Arıkan in Turkey (05/02/2013)

Except this, there are not exist any book about red list category of birds of Turkey. In Turkey almost every ornithologist including me used the book in their studies, reports and publications. The book gives us both species and subspecies information, also IUCN, Bern status and distrubition of species. I like the book because it involves basic information about birds of Turkey which I couldn't find anywhere. And also it has a part for rare and random species. I think it is a good thing for birdwacther.

Loads of Mistakes
by Bassak in Turkey (02/05/2012)
It will be misdirecting the people who will read this book. Because it includes very wrong informations. Inspite some species even don't exist in Turkey (not even seen for once) are included in the book as the species in Turkey. For example; Tawny eagle (Aquila rapax), Caucasion snowcock (Tetra ogallus caucasicus). So it doesn't match with the recent Turkish bird list. The Turkish bird names which are used in the book are not the general accepted Turkish bird species names. In addition, the design of the book is not useful to check the informations inside.
