From the foreword:
"British Chromadorids is the second of three Synopses devoted to free-living marine nematodes. The first, Synopsis No. 28, described the order Enoplida and appeared in 1983. Today the important role of this fauna of minute organisms in food chains is happily appreciated; now the freeliving marine nematodes need no longer be ignored in ecological and other surveys. More titles devoted to members of the meiofauna are scheduled to appear in the future.[...]"
